HEREFORDSHIRE LONG BORDERS

It was a pleasure to create these colourful borders with views over the estate and Welsh hills.  The long borders at the rear of the property needed dramatic new planting with an extended flowering season.  
The season starts with the pinks and purples of Peonies, Allium and Hellebores.  This is followed by the red and oranges of Crocosmia and Helenium; cool white Japanese Anenome and blues of Echinops, Perovskia and Geranium; and contrasting pale yellow Hemerocallis and purple Heuchera and Cotinus.  The low Beech hedges and Box topiary in urns contain the exuberance and provide structure all year.
