OPEN GARDENS BBC2
Emma’s own garden in Hammersmith is open to the public on 9 July 2008 as part of the NGS Gardens Open for Charity. The transformation of this derelict plot to gain a place in the prestigious Yellow Book featured in the BBC2 Open Gardens series in September 2007.
With an open sunny aspect, the space is divided into a series of golden sections with a vista along the central path.
To achieve environmental sustainability, salvaged bricks, local self compacting gravel and dry-tolerant planting have been selected. The garden is productive with herbs, a raised vegetable plot at the rear and fruit along the south wall.
