PEAK DISTRICT MEADOWS
Having cleared the spruce plantation, I was asked to design a low investment and low maintenance garden suitable for this stunning but exposed site of one and a quarter acres.
The plan is based on sweeps of meadows and wild planting following the curves of the high wall. Turf paths divide the planting and provide walks down to the stream.
British native wildflower turf was laid and 3 mixes of perennial and annual flower meadows were seeded. Informal Rowans, fruit trees and Rugosa roses under planted with Geraniums are to provide height and additional nectar and fruit for wildlife. |
