Emma was commissioned at the outset of the building project to design decking to cope with the site’s complex level changes.  Generous steps and mounds of planting soften the effect of these terraces and walkways.  The sloping front garden was equally challenging, requiring curved raised beds to provide privacy and help screen the cars.

The large garden allows contrasting exotic and Mediterranean planting, a gravel garden and woodland-style plants in the dry shade of the conifers on the boundary.

Throughout the project, Emma worked closely with the client’s builders and gardener.
